We Are The 1 in 100

This page was created by Oregon State University's Inside-Out students in the fall of 2011. Our hope is that it will grow as an interactive community and online presence for any person who identifies as a part of the 1 in 100 people incarcerated in the United States. We have enabled open submissions so that you can share your story with the 1 in 100 community about how incarceration in America has affected you or those that you care about. We may be parents, siblings, family members, friends, spouses, or behind bars ourselves. Our hopes are that through our shared stories, we will inspire change in our communities, our justice systems, and our prisons. We are the 1 in 100.

At around minimum wage, I make THIRTY TIMES MORE per hour than the 1 in 100.  Either my calculator is faulty or our incarceration system is.  I support the 1 in 100.
