We Are The 1 in 100

I try to stay focused and strong to get through my time. I think about my family, knowing they are by my side!!! I’m 1 in 100.

“I just got a raise of 25 cents to 35 cents an hour… I am 1 in 100.”

I live in a communist community. We all specialize in something different but get paid the same.

At around minimum wage, I make THIRTY TIMES MORE per hour than the 1 in 100.  Either my calculator is faulty or our incarceration system is.  I support the 1 in 100.

I have made new friends. They are good people. Like me they have made some mistakes. They are the 1 in 100 and you should hear their story too.

I have met the 1 in 100 and learned about Measure 11. Have you?

Who are the 1 in 100? They are sons, daughters, wives, husbands, Aunts, Uncles, fathers, mothers, brothers, and sisters. They are people just like you and me, and they are my friends. Who are the 1 in 100, they are just like you and me. 

I lost the love of my  life and my best friend in my crime. How much longer will I have to suffer?

I work 6 days a week and getting paid 25 cents maybe 50 cents an hour at the most. I’m still not making enough to go to college. I’m the 1 in 100.
